“Playing Around” was a serendipitous photograph, taken while on the bullet train between Tokyo and Nagano. Entertaining myself with panning shots out of the window, I was shocked to look down and discover these characters on the side of a building seemingly having the time of their lives. It was not a photograph I expected to make, but one of those pleasant surprises that happen when you’re receptive to the world.
